Sock Club: paid growth for a brand America already loves

Google Ads management, e-commerce growth, and consulting for Sock Club — the American-made custom sock company. Our job: make sure a beloved product wins the searches and the seasons that decide its year.

The challenge

Sock Club makes a product people genuinely love — American-made custom socks for companies and a monthly sock club for enthusiasts. But love does not automatically win auctions. Two very different buyers (a corporate gifting manager and a subscription shopper) search very differently, seasonal peaks decide the year, and every wasted ad dollar in a competitive apparel market is margin gone.

The strategy

We ran their Google Ads with the discipline the two-audience problem demands — separating corporate custom-sock intent from consumer subscription intent, matching each to its own landing experiences, and rebalancing budgets around the seasonal calendar instead of fighting it. Alongside the ads: e-commerce growth work and standing consulting, so decisions about the store, the offers, and the spend came from one connected picture rather than three disconnected reports.

Outcome

  • Corporate and consumer buyers reached with separate, intent-matched campaigns
  • Budgets shaped to the seasonal calendar that drives the gifting business
  • Ad decisions made from store revenue data, not platform vanity metrics
  • An ongoing consulting relationship spanning ads, store, and strategy

Sock Club is the fun kind of client with the serious kind of problem: a great product in a crowded market where paid traffic either compounds or quietly burns. This engagement is what our marketing thesis looks like applied — ads, store, and strategy handled as one system, with spend answering to revenue. It’s also proof that the approach travels well beyond Michigan.
